This Beni Madhav temple is one of the 12 Madhav temples, located in Prayag. According to Padma Puran He is the main God of Prayag. This old Laxmi Narayan temple houses the magnificent ancient black stone idols of Radha Krishna. According to belief Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also paid homage here. Devotees visit the temple after taking dip in the river Ganges. The place is most crowded during Kumbh & Ardh Kumbh.
